The Polestar 2, available in three versions – Long range Dual motor, Long range Single motor and Standard range Single motor – is a 100% electric saloon. This model, from Volvo’s subsidiary specialising in high-performance and luxury electric vehicles, is known as a direct alternative to the Tesla Model 3.

The Polestar 2 is a compact model with dimensions that place it in the premium electric saloon category. It strikes a balance between practicality and sportiness, while offering a spacious interior. Although its design emphasises dynamism, it offers ample space for passengers and luggage, making it suitable for both daily commutes and long-distance journeys. Depending on the version, this vehicle offers an estimated range of between 440 and 540 km.

The Polestar 2 features home charging with a type 2 connector and a maximum charging power of 11 kW AC. The car also supports fast charging via a CCS connector, offering a total power of 150 kW for the Long range versions and 135 kW for the Standard version.

The Long Range Dual Motor version of the Polestar features a lithium-ion battery with a total capacity of 78 kWh, providing a WLTP range of 480 km. This battery is made up of 324 cells, organised in 108s4p, which means that 108 cells are connected in series, grouped in 4 in parallel in the battery pack.
In terms of recharging, this Polestar can be charged at home with a maximum power of 11 kW in alternating current (AC), enabling it to be fully charged in 7 hours via a Type 2 connector.
For fast charging, the CCS connector provides a maximum DC output of 150 kW, reducing charging time to 40 minutes.

The Long Range Single Motor variant of the Polestar is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a total capacity of 78 kWh, providing a range of 540 km according to the WLTP standard.

This battery is made up of 324 cells, arranged in 108s4p, which means that the 96 cells are arranged in series and organised in groups of 3 in parallel in the battery.

As far as recharging is concerned, this Polestar can be recharged at home with a maximum power of 11 kW in alternating current (AC). For rapid recharging, the CCS connector offers a maximum power of 150 kW in direct current (DC), reducing charging time.

As far as recharging is concerned, this Polestar can be recharged at home with a maximum AC power of 11 kW.
For rapid charging, the CCS connector offers a maximum power of 135 kW in direct current (DC), reducing charging time.
