The Citroën C-Zero is a small all-electric city car developed in partnership with Mitsubishi and Peugeot. It is equipped with a 47 kW electric motor that offers a maximum power of 64 horsepower and an electric range of 150 km. The car can be recharged in about 6 hours with a standard domestic outlet, or in just 30 minutes with a fast charging station. The C-Zero also features convenient features such as automatic air conditioning, cruise control and an integrated navigation system. It is ideal for green and economical urban travel.

This model is available in two different versions. One takes a 14.5 kWh battery, and the other 16 kWh, implying a significant increase in the vehicle’s range.

The Citroën C-Zero is equipped with lithium-ion batteries that use lithium-manganese cathodes (LMOs). The batteries are assembled into modules that are then connected to form a complete battery. The number of modules varies depending on the battery capacity.

The 14.5 kWh battery of the Citroën C-Zero consists of 80 lithium-ion cells, designated LEV50, and offers a voltage rating of 330 volts. Each cell has a capacity of 50 Ah and a nominal voltage of 3.75 volts. The battery weighs about 200 kg. The battery has a forced air cooling system to prevent overheating during high charge and discharge rates and consequent damage. There is a fan built into the battery.

The Citroën C-Zero has been equipped with an improved charging system, which allows the battery to be charged up to 50 kW in alternating current (AC), allowing up to 80% of the battery charge to be recovered in about 30 minutes.
