The Mercedes EQA, available in two versions – 250 and 350 – is a compact SUV with a robust design.

With a length of 4.46 meters, a width of 1.83 meters, and a height of 1.62 meters, it has dimensions similar to those of the GLA and a design that resembles the EQC model, both from the Mercedes brand.

In its 250 version, this variant delivers an electric power of 140 kW compared to a power of 215 kW for its 350 version. The 250 version allows you to reach 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds, while it will take you 6 seconds with the 350 version. This is reflected in the consumption level since you will consume 155 Wh/km behind the wheel of the 250 version compared to 177 Wh/km with the 350 version.

As a result, the two versions have different ranges. The range for the 250 version can vary between 492 and 622 km, while the 350 version varies between 431 and 517 km

The Mercedes EQA 250 is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a total capacity of 79.8 kWh and a usable capacity of 66.5 kWh.

It comprises 300 cells organized into 5 modules. They are arranged in a 100s3p configuration, meaning 100 cells connected in series and 3 groups of these cells connected in parallel within the battery pack.

These cells are supplied by manufacturers LG Energy Solution & Deutsche Accumotive.

This configuration provides a range ranging from 492 to 622 km according to the WLTP standard.

In terms of charging, the battery of the Mercedes EQA 250 offers a maximum power of 11 kW in AC, allowing for a full charge in 5 hours and 45 minutes with a Type 2 connector. For fast charging, the CCS connector allows a maximum power of 110 kW in direct current, reducing the charging time to 32 minutes.

Since the batteries of the two versions of the Mercedes EQA have the same characteristics, the difference in range is due to the electric power of the motor, with 140 kW for the 250 version compared to 215 kW for the 350 version

Like the 250 version, the Mercedes EQA 350 is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a total capacity of 79.8 kWh, offering a useful capacity of 66.5 kWh. The battery comprises 300 cells in 5 modules. They are arranged in a 100s3p configuration, with 100 cells connected in series and 3 groups of these cells connected in parallel in the battery pack. The cells are supplied by LG Energy Solution & Deutsche Accumotive.

This configuration enables the car to offer a range varying from 431 to 517 km according to the WLTP standard.

In terms of recharging, the Mercedes EQB 350’s battery provides a maximum AC output of 11 kW, which means it can be fully charged in 5 hours 45 minutes using a Type 2 connector. For rapid recharging, the CCS connector delivers a maximum DC output of 110 kW, reducing charging time to 32 minutes.

The differences in range between the two versions of the Mercedes EQA lie in the motor’s electrical power, with 140 kW for the 250 version and 215 kW for the 350 version, given that the batteries have identical characteristics.
