The electric vehicle

The electric vehicle is an eco-friendly and economical alternative to gasoline cars. Powered by an electric motor fed by rechargeable batteries, it does not produce harmful emissions for the environment. Additionally, maintenance costs are reduced because it requires fewer moving parts. With increasing demand and decreasing costs, electric vehicles are becoming more and more accessible to consumers.

Recharge of an electric car

The charging of the electric vehicle can be done from a standard electrical outlet or a fast charging station.
Charging times vary depending on the size of the battery, the charging power, and the charging method. Electric cars have limited range, but battery technologies continue to improve. The operating costs of an electric vehicle are generally lower than those of a gasoline car.

An increasingly wide choice

The electric vehicle market in Europe currently represents about 10% of new car sales but is expected to grow rapidly over the next ten years thanks to supportive policies, investments from automakers, and technological advancements in battery technology. Electric car sales offer environmental and economic benefits for consumers and an opportunity for automakers to position themselves in a growing market.
Indeed, the European market for electrified vehicles already includes several hundred different models, offering a range of autonomies, prices, and performances. Automakers have announced massive investments to further diversify their ranges of electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles over the next ten years.
